I installed the script and all, but it doesn’t give me an animation option. I installed it with the other scripts, as I saw it was an scm file, but it doesn’t appear to be functioning. Is there an update for this one that I need?

Set the number of frames greater than > 1 for animations.
This script was designed to work with the official GIMP stable release 2.6.x. It may require an update to work with any 2.7.x development release of GIMP.
If increasing the number of frames doesn’t work for you, I suggest making a post to the GIMP Scripts Forums on Gimp Chat.

On 2.8.0 this script installs in 2 places. Use File>create>Logos(MS)>Electricity (with animation option).
If you use the one under filters>alpha to logo(MS),it creates only one layer.
It creates a very nice effect- thanks!

This is old, but then so am I. The problem with the script is that it is trying to register it under . That hasn’t been used in years. Change the register location to whathaveyou/Electricity.
