Semi-flatten All Layers

Jul. 23, 2013

The script animation-settings-semiflatten.scm is used to semi-flatten all layers in a .gif animation. Updated to V1.1 to maintain user settings when ran.

The usage of the script is demonstrated in this thread on GIMP Chat.

This script will change the user’s background color if the semi-flatten option is enabled. Generally speaking, scripts should not change things such as the FG/BG colors, brush settings, active pattern, et cetera.

This is easily accomplished by placing ‘gimp-context-push’ call at the beginning of the script and a ‘gimp-context-pop’ at the end (before/after the UNDO group start/end is a good choice).
